Is your Mom one of those Moms who tell you not to spend your money on her for Mother's Day? Mine is. Believe me, they don't really mean it. Can you imagine seeing Mom on her special day without any type of gift to make her feel loved? Please! What she really means is that she would love for you to shower her with lovely flowers and appreciation. Furthermore, you should honor every special mother in your life, not just your own Mom. I always make sure that my Mom knows that i care about her. I bring her flowers every Mother's Day. As funny as it sounds, she gives me flowers too. She says that because I am a Mom, that I should be appreciated too. Can you imagine, she tells me not to bother and then gives me flowers herself?

Being a Mom myself, I can vouch for the fact that getting gifts or flowers and a card on Mother's Day makes us feel special. Not only do I know that the person who gave me the gift thinks that I am special. It is nice to get recognition for all the extra things that us Moms do. It's kind of like getting a ribbon or badge that tells us that we did and are doing a good job. I can imagine that I would be a little sad if Mother's Day passed and I didn't get some form of appreciation on that day.

Last year, I got breakfast in bed and a bouquet of the loveliest flowers. That really is all it takes to make me happy. One meal that I didn't have to cook, or clean up after, and some beautiful flowers. Also, as a note to some, it's not only that the flowers are pretty which makes us happy. It's the fact that someone went out of their way to buy them for us.

If your Mom lives far away, there is no better time to show her that you love her. Remember when she taught you right from wrong, how she always seemed to be the first one up each morning and the last one to bed. It seemed like all those little things got done my magic. This is the woman who fed you by hand and cleaned unspeakable messes on your behalf. She is the one who kissed your boo boos and thought that you were the best, brightest most talented kid on the planet. If you are thinking of your wife, imagine all that she does so that you don't have to. Yeah, she deserves flowers at the very least.

You don't have to break the bank, just spend what you can afford. The great thing is that all flowers are beautiful.
